CATME Peer Evaluation Tool
The team peer-evaluation survey now hosted on the Global College website. Students rate each teammate and themselves on ten CATME items, then download a PDF summary for Canvas. It runs entirely in the browser, so responses never leave the student's device.

Overview
ENGR1000J teams need a way to evaluate each other at the end of a project. I built the survey students use for that. It is based on the CATME framework from Loughry, Ohland and Moore (2007) and is now hosted on the Global College website.
Each student rates every teammate, and themselves, on ten effectiveness measures across five categories, using a 1 to 7 scale. At the end they download a PDF summary and submit it on Canvas.
How it works
- The question bank holds all ninety items from the paper, grouped into the five categories it identifies. Each sitting draws ten of them: three on contributing to the team's work, three on interacting with teammates, two on keeping the team on track, one on expecting quality and one on relevant knowledge and skills.
- The draw is fixed once the page loads, so going back to an earlier question shows the same wording.
- The PDF is generated in the browser with jsPDF. It includes a score table for every teammate and a pie chart of how the student split their ratings.
- The form checks inputs before the student gets to the end. Names have to be in Latin letters because jsPDF's built-in fonts have no Chinese glyphs, so the form catches that early instead of producing a PDF with blank names.
Privacy
There is no build step and no backend. The whole thing is a static page with plain JavaScript, and the answers only ever live in the tab the student has open. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, which made it much easier to get hosted on the college site.
